<b>JOB INFORMATION</b><br />
The Probation and Parole Officer, Trainee is a permanent, full-time position with the Bureau of Pardons and Paroles. Positions<br />
are located across the state. This is specialized probation and parole work as a trainee that consists of formal on-the-job training<br />
of the policies and procedures associated with the supervision and rehabilitation of supervised adult offenders.</p>
<p><b>MINIMUM REQUIREMENT</b><br />
• Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED certificate.<b></b><br />
• Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.<b></b><br />
• Applicants must provide <b>one</b> of the following with their applications: (1) valid certification of having passed the <b>Basic Ability</b></p>
<p><b>Test (BAT)</b> for Law Enforcement Officers (also called <b>ACT WorkKeys) </b>as required by APOSTC <b>OR</b> (2) proof of possession<br />
of an Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited* college or university (copy of diploma or transcript) <b>OR</b> (3) APOSTC<br />

<p>About the Job</p>
<p>As an Executive Protective Agent for the Central Intelligence Agency, you will be part of a team that provides 24/7/365 armed protection for Intelligence Community leaders world-wide. You will serve on teams at foreign and domestic sites, liaise with foreign security officials, operate armored security vehicles, analyze threats in order to modify protective profiles, and utilize issued weapons and equipment.</p>
<p>Executive Protective Agents are required to work weekends, holidays, evenings and overtime under ever-changing conditions. Frequent travel, both domestic and overseas, is required. Agents must be alert and mindful of the implications of their performance and actions in continuously changing and potentially high-risk environments.</p>
<p>Because of the strenuous demands of this assignment, applicants must be in good overall physical, emotional, and mental condition, have a proven track record of excellent judgment and the ability to work well in a team. Flexibility and adaptability is paramount. Candidates must have the ability to handle competing priorities, short deadlines, and constantly changing requirements.</p>
<p>All Executive Protective Agents must successfully complete a physical fitness test for selection and on an annual basis thereafter, to include meeting the following minimum requirements:</p>
<p><b>Push-ups:</b> minimum of 18 in one minute<br />

<p>Your career at CIA as an Executive Protective Agent begins with a three-year tour of duty primarily located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. You must be willing and able to successfully complete CIA’s Executive Protection Courses, most of which is located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. As an Executive Protective Agent, you will earn overtime and premium pay benefits in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act that will positively impact your overall compensation. After your initial three year tour, you may seek new skills through other opportunities in the Office of Security.</p>
